Ballet Flats for Moms
The pair that I’ve been wearing for the last 5 or 6 years is no longer available. I’ve actually replaced this pair of flats once, so I have two pair. They are from when Cole Haan partnered with Nike and carry Maria Sharipova’s name on them. I love them. They’re plain and simple and have a fun little corset-like lace-up detail on the heel. Since they were made in partnership with Nike, they’re comfortable like a tennis shoe. The only problem? I’ve worn them so much, both pairs have seen better days.
The Search for Good Quality Ballet Flats
I’m in the market for a new pair of black ballet flats. My budget is around $150, but as always, the cheaper the better! I don’t mind spending this much on shoes because I will wear them until they fall apart and I’ve found that shoes at higher price points seem to be more comfortable. I don’t know why this is, but I am assuming it has to do with higher quality construction and materials. Below are the flats that I’m considering!
7 Ballet Flats for Moms to Consider
I started my search with Cole Haan to see if they had anything similar to the pair I already know and love. I found this pair which seems similar in comfort and style. I like that they’re plain and simple.
Ballet flats might as well be synonymous with Tory Burch! This iconic style was the next on my list to check out. I have to be honest though, I’m not a huge fan of the logo emblem. I know a lot of people like that, but it’s not my style. Plus I’ve tried on Torys ages ago and they were too narrow for my foot. The other con? They’re way out of my budget!
I’ve been eyeing Tieks for quite some time. I love that they can fold into themselves, and I hear they’re very comfortable. However, while aqua blue is one of my favorite colors, I’m not sure I want it all over my black ballet flats (it’s on the soles and heels). They’re also out of budget, so the search continues!
I stumbled on these via a sponsored post on Instagram (yes, those work and aren’t always horrible!). Holy smokes, they’re very cool! They’re made from recycled plastic bottles and they’re machine washable. Get $20 off by using this link!
I have a pair of these in leopard print and they’re pretty good shoes. They are way, way under budget, but they also aren’t comfortable for a full day of walking around. That’s okay for a fun pair, but for a pair of black ballet flats, I need something that won’t leave me aching.
Naturalizer sounds like an old lady brand, I know. But hear me out! I have a pair of flats from this brand and they’re cute and so comfortable. For me, comfort is higher on the totem pole than a designer label. Another bonus is that these are way under budget!
Clarks is another brand that kinda screams “nursing home”, but I’ve noticed they’re really upping their game lately. When I was searching high and low for a pair of stylish black ankle boots that were waterproof and comfortable for travel, I found rediscovered Clarks and was pleasantly surprised with what they have to offer. These flats are super cute and below budget, and I have no doubt that they’re very comfortable. However, I’m not keen on that emblem on the top.
